Acorn Production’s very first show will be the award-winning musical “HONK!”, to be performed at the Acorn Theatre in May. Based on the tale of The Ugly Duckling, “HONK!” is an enchanting musical comedy packed with sparkling wit and memorable songs. The search is now on to find a cast of talented local singers, dancers and actors who will take to the stage and bring the musical to life.
Professional director & choreographer Hayla Hawes, who is producing the show, is confident that the musical will be a massive success. “There is a wealth of talent amongst our local community,” said Mrs. Hawes, “and we want to get as many people involved as possible - either on the stage as performers or behind the scenes. There is so much scope for involvement!”
Auditions for the show will be held at The Acorn Theatre, Queen Street, on Sunday 27th January, and all budding performers are invited to get involved - whatever their age or experience. “The Acorn prides itself on being an all age venue & this production will continue that idea as we are looking for anyone with enthusiasm aged 11—99! So singers, dancers & actors -please give us a call at the Acorn about the auditions on the 27th. No experience is necessary, and it’s sure to be great fun!”
